More Hauer history.....
Ragtime and the foxtrot were the latest dance crazes. There was a music shop on every city block, pianos played rolls of music and every home had an accordion, ukulele or mandolin.
The Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra, The Dayton Mandolin Band, the Hauer Swing Band and the Hauer Accordion Orchestra were some of the many specialty bands prominent on the Dayton Scene, not to mention Michael Hauer's own band.
In more modern times Hauer Music has become involved with other specialty bands.
